Faith

OLL is a welcoming and inclusive community where students and families of all backgrounds are invited to grow in character, purpose, and relationship with God.

Approximately 75% of our families identify as Catholic.

Students in Kindergarten through 8th grade attend weekly Mass together as a school community, with students actively participating as readers, altar servers, greeters, musicians, and prayer leaders. Preschool & Pre K students also participate in important liturgical celebrations throughout the year, including the Mass of the Holy Spirit, Ash Wednesday, and our end-of-year celebration Mass.

At every grade level, students engage in meaningful service learning experiences connected to Catholic Social Teaching. We teach students to recognize the dignity of every person, care for the marginalized, act with compassion, and become thoughtful stewards of their communities and the world around them. Students participate in hands-on service projects, outreach opportunities, and community partnerships that help them live their faith through action.

Inspired by Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’, our curriculum empowers students to become thoughtful stewards of creation. Across every grade level, students discover the connections between science, sustainability, stewardship, and faith through engaging, hands-on experiences such as gardening, salmon restoration projects, outdoor education, and environmental science initiatives. By connecting classroom learning with real-world action, we inspire students to care for the environment with curiosity, compassion, and purpose—preparing them to make a meaningful difference in their communities and beyond.

At OLL, students are encouraged to ask meaningful questions, think critically, lead with empathy, and discover how their unique gifts can positively impact the world. Our faith-centered approach helps students develop not only strong academic skills, but also the character, resilience, and sense of purpose needed to thrive far beyond the classroom.
